Am a bit clueless here, can someone plz enlighten me?

Ok, I'll tell it as straight as I can:

I arrived here while searching for the OldGamersClan website, which I was a member on, but haven't been visiting since last year for several reasons (eg. preparing then moving to Japan took most of my time for several months! (^_-)). After the initial shock that the domain name itself seems completely gone without any additional info as to why or redirection or whatever, I then went on to googl quite a bit until I found myself browsing threads on this forum to find infos about whether OGC is gone for good, or moved somewhere else or sth... I was also surprised to realise that I do have an account here already, even though I don't remember having ever registered or even previously visited here! (Is it that my account on OGC has been transfered somehow?)
Anyway, after reading Darklord's posts on the matter, I'm still left confused about it all.
So can anybody here tell me what's the final status of things concerning OGC? Is this forum the replacement for it (if so, I couldn't find any equivalent to OGC's game download sections), or is it gone for good, or what?

It was one of the better abandonware/emulation related site IMHO, and even though I didn't actively participate (big lack of time to post as always), I frequently browsed it for information and of course downloading games/roms among its many (very well-supplied, compared to many other abandonware sites) sections. I'd be very sorry to hear that it actually is dead for good now...
But in any case, thanks in advance for letting me know about it guys! (^_^)

Darklord can probably best explain it, but from what I understand, is that the founder of Oldgames.nu, Christian, sold the site to Darklord, and Darklord ported it to oldgamersclan.net.

That site slowed to slower than a crawl due to inactivity, and games were after a while removed.

Darklord has Blackdiam long ago too, as an RPG site (I think), and eventually decided to port everyone on OGC over here. This included your account.

In any event, I am not sure of the accuracy of all the details above, but it is close enough to give you an idea how it all happened.

It is good to see a new member here! Welcome, and I hope you enjoy this place!

Hi and thanks for the interest :)

What said RWM is more or less accurate, i'll therefore complete and / or correct some parts :)

Christian was/is the owner of oldgames.nu and up to some point (where he didn't have the time / will to deal with the site anymore), i took over the forums and made oldgamersclan.net - it was never sold, just free agreement -.

It was still very active and used at this time, but not a few years after, approximately when CWF site was created (it's just a time spot, it's not the reason ;) ). Whatever, it made less and less visitors for i think the reason that everyone didn't have the time anymore to post and make the forum active. Myself i mostly lost the time necessary to make proper maintaining.

For costs and maintenance reasons, i decided to merge several domains i have (including but not limited to oldgamersclan.net). This is the reason of blackdiam.net.

Now, for the games... I still have the collection but i don't think it was good as it was, since we had no control over the abandonware / non abandonware status of the game, or at least not accurate enough. I may or may not put the collection back but it would need prior someone to check and publish the games one by one, which nobody so far suggested to do :p Also, lately the torrents trackers were way more used than the abandonware site, that's also a reason.

That said, if you look for a game in particular, i can send it to you, provided of course it is abandonware or freeware :)

I would stay very interested actually on ideas about that, if it still interests anyone.
